ABOUT:

After switching to Window's new OS Vista, I went in search of a good Wallpaper changer. I could not find one, so I decided to create my own.

This wallpaper changer will monitor your chosen folder and recognize when new pictures are added or old pictures are removed. It will also recursively drill down through each subsequent folder checking for images. You can also set how often it rotates the images from 1 minute to multiple days.

Other feature include setting program to start with windows and a progress bar to show when the next wallpaper change will take place.

*Added ability to change image folder location after initial declaration.

*v.1.5 added easy installation

*v2.2 color change, tile/zoom/fit feature

Features I still need to add is

-the ability to auto-fit the image or to tile the image

-PNG format

wow... cool. could have AMAZING potential.
let me ask first though, how memory/CPU efficient is it. that could make the difference between the jackpot and just another wallpaper app.

using my Task Manager I see my application sitting in Memory at 11,368 K and the CPU cycles at 00.

There is somethings I can do to make this number a little smaller but seriously it is barely anything in today's standards.
:icontigz54:
yeah... thats awsome.
ill try it out and let you know how it goes =)

thanks for the app

Is There a way you could add a fading transition while changing the wallpapers...

Also if you can make the app run in a "Lower base" priority.

Thanks... looking good!
:iconyatzin:
I have no plans on making a fading transition. Due to the way I am currently changing the wallpaper, I would have to do a complete re-write(and learn how to fade in process). I don't have the resources to do a task such as this. However, you lower base priority request has potential. I will research more about that and if possible make changes and let you know. Thank you for your input!!!

This is bloody fantastic.

Was looking everywhere for a wallpaper rotator that worked with Vista and well nothing was decent.

This is the best program that I know of around. It is superb. Very very good work the GUI also looks very pleasing to the eye.
